A den is a group of Scouts in the same grade. We have 1-2 dens per grade, depending on the number of interested boys. Each den is led by an adult den leader and an assistant den leader. Note: A parent must accompany their Tiger cub (1st graders) to each Tiger den meetings.
Dens meet 1-3 times per month. The meeting times are determined by each den and it's leader. Meeting times can be after school, in the evening, or on weekends. Meetings are generally an hour long. They may be held at school, someone's house, or be a field trip!
Pack 365 is the combination of all the Cub Scout Dens typically from St Patricks and Van Cleve Schools .
Pack meetings happen once a month, typically the 3rd Thursday of each month. The objective is to:

Yes. Each Scout should have a Scout handbook, based on his rank (see Rank). Each book describes the shirt and patches he needs. The staff at the Miami Valley Scout Shop is also very knowledgeable about what you need. The uniforms should be worn to all scout events, especially pack meetings. The scout uniform can also be worn to school. The Miami Valley Scout Shop is located in North Dayton (Needmore Rd). Some scout uniform items can also be ordered through the JC Penney catalog.
Ranks are milestones the boys earn along the path of scouting. These achievements are detailed in the scout handbook. Rank begins with Tiger (1st grade), and advances to Wolf Cub (2nd grade), Bear (3rd grade) and Webelo (4th and 5th grade). All Cub Scouts must also achieve the Bobcat rank
What are awards and achievements? As the boys work towards earning their rank, they earn beads, arrow points, pins and patches for their progress. Most boys will earn their achievements through their participation in den meetings. See Cub Scout ranks for more info
How much does Cub Scouts cost? The dues for a new scout are $35. Returning scouts at $25 per year. You may also wish to subscribe to Boy's Life (the official BSA Cub Scout magazine) for an additional $12. Most of the dues go to the national Boy Scouts of America, the remainder of the dues help cover the cost of the awards the boys achieve (patches, pins, beads and belt loops). The scout will also need a uniform? No boy will be denied scouting because of cost. Please contact Cub Master.
The basic dues are for the national Boy Scouts of America membership. That money does not go to the Pack. The Pack uses the fundraising dollars to pay for the derby and regatta kits, food at special events, and the Blue Gold banquet. Traditionally, Pack365 scouts have sold popcorn each fall as our only fundraiser.
The Pack Committee is made up of all den leaders, assistant den leaders, and all pack leaders (Cubmaster, treasurer, etc.). They meet once per month (typically the 2nd Thursday of each month) to plan pack events.
